Hijinks sat down with her books as she browsed over the numerous titles her teacher has piled upon her for her studies. This time the old geek wanted her to make her own spell, as if learning how to breathe fire was not enough. Still... The filly has been interested in finding a way to unleash all the built up fire at once, instead of unleashing it as a steady stream. May take a bit of... studying before she was confident to attempt it herself. After all, not every mage would have the courage to learn how to breath fire. That, or recklessness as others may tell her. Tomato, potato.
It will be an ignus spell (2) With an area burst of 1 (2). It was create a great ball of fire that will be launched to the area and instantly explode causing 3L damage (3) for a total difficulty of 7. Hijinks has an intelligence of 3 and a spellcasting rank of 5 with a +2 bonus because of pyrokenises specialization, giving her a total dice pool of 10.
Day one, YicxDEbT10d2
4 successes. Fail.
Hijinks spent too much time pranking other students with invisible ink that she totally forgot about her studies. Whoopsies. Oh well, it was worth it. 10d2
Hijinks wooped! Finally, some progress! She had finally managed to figure out the theory on how to gather up all that magic in to one big condensed ball of fire and magic stuff. Now on to how to make sure it doesn't burn or even explode while in her mouth... 10d2
A dissappointing week, to be sure. When she almost thought she had something, her little experiment blew up in her face. Well, it almost did until one of the senior mages came over to put a stop to it before she could burn the entire library down. 10d2
Hijinks let out a deep sigh. Despite her success, the filly barely felt like she has made any progress. She has found a way to keep the fire condensed until it hit something, but that still didn't save her mouth. Onto the next book she guessed. 10d2
Day Thirteen, ToeSK6Rc10d2 7 successes. Pass. 3/7 successes.
Ah, there it is. Hijinks beamed proudly as her trend proved not to be untrue, but only tardy.
Day Fourteen, 10d2 5 successes. Fail.
Back to the monotonous grind that is studying, thought Hijinks as she continued to draw doodles of cows in her textbook.
Day Fifteen, 10d2 6 successes. Fail
Hijinks groaned as she once again hit the 'almost but not quite' point in her study. Why was fire so difficult?!
Day Sixteen, 10d2 3 successes. Fail.
Hijinks' face hit the desk as she mutters, "all work and no play makes Jinksy a dull filly."
Day Seventeen, 10d2 6 successes. Fail.
Hijinks internally seethed as she noticed a lack of success recently. "I swear, if somebody has been mixing up my books, I'll... call them a mean name or something!"
Day Eighteen, 10d2 5 successes. Fail.
Hijinks whines as she remembers her teacher telling her it took a week of studying to learn his spell. Oh, if only Hijinks paid attention in class more, she'd probably would have already finished by now!"
Day Nineteen, 10d2 6 successes. Fail.
Hijinks really wished that trend came back... She was beginning to lose all hope. 10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2
Day Twenty Six, 10d2 Fa- no wait! A Seven! That's a success! Finally! that's 4 out of 7. Only... three more to go. Hijinks could nearly cry. In fact, she did. Thankfully, not all over her textbook. 10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2
Day Thirty Eight, 10d2 Be dear and don't let the FAILURE! kick you on the way out!
Day Thirty Nine, 10d2 With a frustrated huff, Hijinks threw her textbooks to the floor. "That's it, Tel! I'm not doing your stupid project anymore! I spent weeks on this and I can't figure out this stupid... thing!" she shouted as pointed down at all the insane scribbles in her textbook. The other students in the library were either new, or used to the crazy filly's antics. Needless to say, the filly was thrown out for the day again.
Still at 4/7 successes. 10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2·10d2
