URAS Roan Indomitable is the largest airship constructed by Roan, a symbol of strength and unity of the populace. From an engineering standpoint, it was a marvel to behold. Built with the latest techniques and outfitted with the most advance weaponry. From a military standpoint, it was a warning to their enemies; as if to say, Look at what the ponies of Roan can make. Every major newspaper and radio station broadcasted the event, stirring up excitement in the populace. Seeing a chance to earn some funds to cover the cost of the airship, the government sold tickets to be entered into a lottery. On it's maiden voyage, the airship had thousands aboard from a wide variety of walks of life; cooks, soldiers, pilots, press, rich and elite, business men, explorers, and their family members.
The voyage, however, would end tragically. Tragic weather lead the airship to go off course and stray near the Elderveldt. Hubris lead the pilots to believe they could fly over it. It wasn't until the engines began to fail that they sent out a distress signal.
Whether by mercy or cruel fate, the crash mercifully killed few. It damaged engines, tore gashes in the fuselage, and wrecked equipment, dashing any hopes of a speedy repair and return to the skies.
Your task, explore the surrounding area and bring back anything that may be of importance. Your enlightened self-interest is going to be your biggest advantage here. Maybe, just maybe, we can get out of this jungle.

Aqua counted herself lucky that she was chosen as one of the military personal to join the URAS Roan Indomitables maiden voyage, she was tasked with both defence and medical staff, decked out with her Roan military uniform and helmet, she carried her rifle over her shoulder and backpack on her back containing a first aid kit, some ammo, a light pair of H.A.N.D.S, a canteen and some rations.
After the crash landing, Aqua headed for the medical bay, stopping to help ponies along the way, bringing as many as she was able to along with her, saving lives being her first port of call, manning her station as soon as she got to the medical bay.
Tel was leaning over the edge still wondering why the university sent him on this cruise. He hates flying all he had was his extra light armor he gotten once they told him he'd be doing field work and his spell book which he kept in his saddlebags. When he was on the ship he spent the first few weeks acclimating to the pitch of the airship and next few days learning about how to combat airsickness.
As the ship began to pitch and go down Tel did all he could to keep himself safe. But after the crash he found himself working to clear out debris with the others finding things and any survivors. His magic helping him out along the way
